Animals

We shelter and care for a range of farm animals and offer the opportunity to experience them here while you stay. The animals have many different backstories as we oftentimes take in those searching for a new home. Get to know their quirky personalities and make a new friend while you’re here. Direct animal encounters can be arranged and are strictly with a Forest Lodge Farm staff member. Guests are welcome to observe the animals from behind the fence, we recommend that students and children who visit must be supervised at all times.

Billy the Goat

Billy came to the farm from the RSPCA a few years ago. He has been a fantastic addition to the camp and he has made himself right at home. He thinks he is pretty special and loves getting in “selfies” with the kids.

Benji & Dolly

Benji and Dolly are two gorgeous miniature goats that have a sweet and friendly nature. Dolly is caramel coloured and Benji is black, white and gray. Both love a food treat and a nice pat. They came from a generous family near Stony Creek who were looking to find them a new home.

The Chickens

Isa Browns are classic egg laying farmhouse hens with a deep golden colour. They are friendly, like to cluck about and can be up for a cuddle once they get to know you. They enjoy lots of fresh foods and grains to stay healthy and happy.

Pacca

With a glorious coat of white Alpaca wool we understand why Pacca is proud in nature. She is a protector and helps keep the herd safe holding her nightly watch. Preferring to keep her space Pacca will only approach those she completely trusts.

Ziggy and Suzy

Ziggy and Suzy are the life of the party, they like to make lots of noise, trot around and say a big hello when you walk past. Naturally they are best mates with whoever is bringing them food, just be sure to always keep your fingers out!
